Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Business Consultants is going into its fifth year of helping to advance Michigan’s growth by nurturing companies through pro bono services under the Pure Michigan Business Connect initiative. This initiative, developed by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), connects early-stage Michigan companies with professionals who will provide legal, accounting and other services at little to no cost.
In January 2013, Yeo & Yeo committed to donate up to a grand total of $250,000 in services to select Pure Michigan Business Connect program participants over a five-year period, 2013 through 2017.
“We made a commitment to this program because we are serious about helping Michigan succeed,” says Gary Riedlinger, Principal and member of Yeo & Yeo’s Tax Services Group. “We are excited about it because opportunities for start-ups have never been greater, and CPAs can share their expertise and play a critical role in their success.”
Benefits of Yeo & Yeo’s commitment to the Pure Michigan Business Connect Partnership includes:
- Commitment of $250,000 to help emerging businesses grow and expand jobs in Michigan.
- Access to CPAs and business consultants specialized in helping early stage and start-up companies with accounting structure and internal controls, business plans and initial financing applications, budgeting and cash flow management, accounting software and QuickBooks support, and tax planning.
- Access to technology professionals specialized in deploying business management software applications and IT infrastructure for growing businesses.
- Establish a long-term business partnership with a trusted advisor.
